I’ve got a few disparate things that I’d like to share, and I’m not talking about my outfit even though I’m extremely pleased with how it turned out! I first arrived in Second Life in on April 2, 2007. I spent the summer here and got far to embroiled in my Second Life. So, I removed myself from it to concentrate on my first life, and took the SL plunge again in June of 2008. I started blogging SL in October 2010. 561 posts later, I’ve decided that a person (or maybe it’s just me) needs a purpose in SL. Builder, designer, musician, DJ, model, blogger, what have you. Blogging gave my shopping a purpose (hahaha). I got involved in many worthwhile events through blogging and have met a huge number of people who I have enjoyed immensely. That’s disparate thing number one: a purpose for play. It works for me.
Now let’s take a break and look at my wonderful outfit. 🙂
Now, on to things that I just need to say. I’m usually quiet and moderately polite on here, but I have to get these out. Some are no brainers.
1. Bling – For god’s sake, ditch the bling! If you don’t know what bling is, ask a friend.
2. Paying for a demo – Please. Do not charge for your demos. If I like what I see, I will buy it. If I’m faced with a demo charge, it leaves a bad taste right off the bat. Not a good first impression, imo.
3. A package of clothes or other consumer items without a LM – Please include a LM along with your items, creators. Think of it as a little map in a rl shopping bag. Yes, I know shops move. If you don’t want to put a LM in your package, please put one in your profile! I need to be able to find your shop. I WANT to be able to find your shop.
I guess that’s about it. I’m happier than I thought! Close up!
