The novel, On the Beach, is an amazing and grim post-apocalyptic story set in Australia by author Nevil Shute. If you’ve read it, you can only hope that I’m not on that beach! No, instead I’m basking in the August sun, trying to catch a few last rays before autumn. It’s glorious!
